EICR Testing in The West Midlands

Often referred to as "Landlord Safety Tests" or "Hard Wire Testing," an EICR is a formal document produced following a detailed assessment of your electrical installation.

• Consumer Units (Fuseboards) : Ensuring they meet modern safety standards.

• Wiring & Circuits: Checking for deterioration, damage, or overheating.

• Earthing & Bonding: Verifying that your property is correctly earthed.

Once the inspection is complete, you receive a digital report. If your property passes, it is marked as ‘Satisfactory.’ If issues are found, we provide a clear, itemised list of remedial actions (coded by urgency) to get you back to safety.

Compliance requirements vary depending on how you use your property. We tailor our testing schedules for:

1. Private Landlords (Domestic)

Since April 2021, it is a legal requirement in England for all private tenancies to have a valid EICR.

• Frequency: Every 5 years or at the change of a tenancy.

2. Commercial & Industrial Clients

Business owners have a duty of care under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
